2018 DPS Nina 99 Alchemist Women's Skis
The DPS Nina 99 Women's skis in the new Alchemist construction are exceptionally versatile all mountain skis that take design elements seen in DPS's wider skis like the Yvette 112 and repackage them in this narrower, 99 mm waist width. The shape of this ski is really what makes it so versatile, but it certainly helps that it's supported by such advanced construction. It uses their 3-D PaddleTech Geometry, a blend of rocker, variable sidecut, and early taper that's unique to DPS. It allows for super smooth, easy turn initiation on firm snow and takes you into powerful carving turns with ease. Off the groomers the wide tips and early taper profile gives it both excellent float for a 99 mm waist ski as well as easy maneuverability. It has a distinctly catch free feel in soft snow and really performs well in variable conditions and tight, tricky terrain. The Alchemist construction takes carbon skis to the next level. It has substantially increased vibration dampening compared to just about any other carbon fiber ski, yet is still outrageously lightweight. In fact, it's light enough to justify mounting it with a AT binding if you're the type of skier that likes to explore the backcountry and earn your turns, but it's also perfectly suitable as a resort ski with alpine bindings and boots.
