2018 Rossignol Experience 84 HD Skis
The Experience 84 HD is a versatile all mountain ski. While it leans a little bit towards use on firm snow with its extended sidecut profile and 84 mm waist width, it does give skiers the performance and stability needed for some light off-piste skiing as well. The Experience 84 HD is built with an emphasis on being lightweight, although still offers some impressive performance. It uses a paulownia wood core, which is quite a bit lighter than the poplar found in a lot of the Experience skis. Rossignol then uses their Carbon Alloy Matrix material, which also has an emphasis on being lightweight. This Carbon Alloy Matrix material is designed to enhance energy and vibration dampening, while also giving the ski exceptional stability and edge grip for being so light. We're seeing Rossignol use this material in a lot of their skis right now as it offers a level of performance and weight savings that not many materials or other ski manufacturers can match. While the 84 mm waist width is arguably best suited for on-trail skiing, especially considering the extended sidecut profile, Rossignol's Auto Turn Rocker does increase maneuverability for when you're exploring off-piste terrain and variable snow conditions.

Re: Question about the 2017 Model. Review by SkiEssentials
Yes, you're going to get the same performance out of the 2017 as you would out of the 2018. Construction and design are the same.
Thanks for reaching out!
