2018 Volkl 90Eight W Women's Skis
For 2018, Volkl has succeeded in making a ripping ladies ski that is truly remarkable. Many have attempted the one ski quiver, but few have nailed it as properly as Volkl has. The 2018 Volkl 90Eight Women's ski is a phenomenal choice for advanced to expert level female skiers because of its technology, versatility, and shape. Volkl has played around with the 3D ridge technology for a few years now, and it's really a nice way to get the ski to carve really well while reducing swing weight over the edges. The central column of the ski stays glued to the snow with minimal vibrations, and the flattened sides of the ski bounce back and forth effortlessly through turns. New for 2018 is the addition of 3D Glass technology. This is the addition of a sheet of fiberglass that extends along the bottom of the ski and up and over the sidewalls. This adds a bit of torsional stiffness while keeping the ski light and responsive. In terms of versatility, the Volkl 90Eight Women's ski can certainly do it all. At (you guessed it) 98mm underfoot, it has enough width to float over some serious pow, and thanks to its technology, can still rip turns on the groomers. Add to this the light weight nature of the 90Eight Women's ski, and you have an extremely diverse product. With tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot, the 90Eight is a true all-mountain ski that can do anything the pilot allows.
