The Chairlift Chat Guide to 2016 Preseason Ski Festivals // Ski Industry News
As ski season draws ever closer, preseason stoke is starting to fill the air. Cold mornings with frosty grass aren't too far away now, and there's already been reports of snow on some of North America's higher elevations. Fueled by a ton of epic trailers for movies showcasing last year's highlights, skiers of all ages are about to enter what we affectionately call, "tease season." In past years, skiers have found themselves going to numerous ski movie premiers to help pass the time. While that's certainly still the case, we've also noticed that this year there seems to be a new push towards preseason ski festivals. That is, events which show a handful of movies and couple them with live music, vendors, and food in an effort to really amp up the preason stoke. With that in mind, we thought we'd take a minute to share a few different preseason ski festivals that are going down in the coming months.
