2018 Kastle MX89 Skis
2017 Kastle MX89 Skis
The Kastle MX 89 has taken the ever popular MX 88 and given it a facelift for 2017. The MX 88 has been a favorite among advanced and expert skiers looking for a high performance all mountain ski that would rip groomers like their GS race skis. The new version of the ski is even better. It has retained its torsional stiffness on groomed terrain and ability to lay down powerful carves, but with an extra 1mm under foot and tweaked geometry it's now even better in off-piste scenarios. There's a reason Kastle affectionately refers to this ski as, "The Expert."

I see these Kastle MX89 with full camber, and it makes me think this ski might have the rebound energy so difficult to find in skis today. However, I don't ski as fast as I used to, although I still pick my way through the mogul fields on Lift Line and Chin Clip ... I just don't go as fast as I once did.
Will these skis ski well at lower speeds, or do they need to rip to come alive ...
Not a ton of low-speed compliance as they're pretty stiff. We have them as a part of our 2020 men's 88-90 mm ski comparison if you want a bit more info. https://www.skiessentials.com/Chairlift-Chat/2020-Ski-Comparison-Mens-90mm-All-Mountain-Skis/
