Volkl Kanjo Skis

The 2018 Volkl Kanjo is an all-new model that will grab a lot of skier's attention. It's light, lively, fast and fun. Anyone from advanced to expert skiers will love the front side performance that the Kanjo provides. The exceptional behavior of the 2018 Volkl Kanjo is due in large part to its construction, shape, and profile. Volkl has struck a chord with today's skiers by playing around with different construction models. Their latest iteration is a titanium band that runs the length of the ski, but not the entire width. This allows for a stiffer fore-aft pattern but still allows for some torsional forgiveness that is much needed when arcing perfect turns. The ski needs to flex and rotate in order to turn properly. The titanium band mixes well with the full wood core and vertical sidewall to make a fantastic carving machine. At 84mm underfoot, the Kanjo is a departure from the "wider-is-better" mentality that has captivated the ski industry for quite some time now. Skiers are remembering what it was like to carve a turn on an all-mountain ski, and they love it! As long as the ski has some tip rocker and mild splay, the ski will stay on top of softer snow conditions, and the Kanjo contains all of these technologies. With a rocker/camber/rocker profile, the Kanjo is not just a front side carver. It does have the ability to venture off-piste, into the woods, out to the back bowls, and anywhere else you can picture taking a ski. While it won't float like its wider brethren, it has a nice combination of all these traits that will make it a hot seller.
