2019 Blizzard Spur Skis with Bindings
The Blizzard Spur is a full on dedicated powder ski that's designed to offer the best possible feel in deep snow. The design of the Spur is inspired by surfboard design and hydro-dynamics. The theory is that deep, soft snow acts more like water than a hard surface. Blizzard has taken this theory and ran with it. The Spur has an asymmetrical sidecut profile and is unlike anything Blizzard has ever done before. Your uphill and downhill ski flex differently when skiing powder and essentially the different shape from inside to outside edge is designed to actually match when flexed into a turn. It also has more early taper on the outside edge than the inside edge which gives it a nice catch-fee feel. Have we mentioned width yet? The Spur has a 124 mm waist width. That's plenty wide enough to float in even the deepest of snow. The Spur is only available in one length: 192cm. If you're looking at that number and thinking "that's ridiculously long," the Spur probably isn't for you. Deep powder calls for a big surface area if you want to float above the snow and slash and smear turns. This 192 cm length and 124 mm waist provides the necessary surface area to really surf along the snow.
