2019 Salomon QST 99 Skis

The 2019 Salomon QST 99 skis are the ultimate tool when it comes to all-mountain versatility. There's something special about a ski that can do absolutely everything, and the QST 99 is quite possibly that special ski. Sure there are skis that can float or carve better, but the combination of the two extremes rarely meets in the middle. Salomon has done a fantastic job making a lightweight, versatile ski that can act as a carving board on the corduroy in the morning, and a powder ski in the woods in the afternoon. Add to that the power and crud performance, and you've got a clear cut winner on your feet. They've added a bit more of the C/FX fiber this year, which stiffens the ski without weighing it down. As a result, the performance is improved without the heft. The basalt layer reduces vibrations, as does the koroyd in the tips and tails. Skiers will love the natural feeling they get from the combination of materials in the core. It seems like a lot when you read about it or see it in a graphic, but when you put the skis on your feet and rip some turns, it all makes sense. With a 19 meter turn radius at 181 cm length, the skis can make some beautifully rounded turns, and they can also be coerced into some short-swing turns as well when you encounter moguls and trees. At 99 mm underfoot, the skis have the versatile shape that is imperative to rule the whole mountain. Whether you're out in the backcountry or ripping the resort, the 2019 Salomon QST 99 is the perfect tool for the job.
