2020 Blizzard Firebird Competition 76 Skis w/ TPX 12 Bindings
Blizzard Firebird Comp 76 Skis with Bindings
Skiers looking for a sharp, stable, and fast setup will love the Blizzard Firebird Comp 76 skis with bindings. With an FDT race plate and Marker TPX 12 bindings, advanced and expert skiers will love the on-trail carving prowess of the Firebird Comp 76. They're a bit wider in the waist versus the more GS style skis, and this gives you a more stable and solid platform to stand on. The balance point is a lot more accessible for more skiers, so even progressing intermediates will find fun on the Comp 76. With a full camber profile, you get a ton of edge grip and precision thanks to the instantaneous and elongated edge contact. Each and every movement that you put into your boots will get quickly and efficiently transmitted to the ski. This longer edge gives you more stability at speed and more control through the arc of the turn. Aspiring racers will love the sandwich compound sidewall construction with the Titanal racing build. This is a snappy and stable core that loves to be pushed to the limits. While the higher-end models in the Firebird line get the full C-Armor carbon laminate as well as the C-Spine core, the Comp 76 just gets the C-Spine, but this does a great job stiffening the ski and providing a lot more stability and strength. If you're looking to take your carving game to the next level, look no further than the Blizzard Firebird Comp 76 skis with bindings.

That is a great ski but it does have titanal racing construction making it a pretty stiff aggressive ski which would be really stable at high speeds, but at slower speeds it would be harder to turn. If you are not a super aggressive skier and you are a bit more cautious you may want to look at something a bit softer like Elan Wingman 76 or the Atomic Vantage 79. I included the links below for reference. Hope that helps.

Thanks,

The Firebird Comp has a longer turn radius but is also less stiff than the HRC. The Firebird Comp just gets the C-Spine in its construction, while the HRC has C-Armor + C-spine, giving it more heft and stiffness. Both a great carvers. If you are looking for a ski to carve and run some gates with, go with the ARC. If you want a bit more forgiveness and versatility for front side carving, go with the Firebird Comp.
Hope this helps!

The Firebird would certainly be a nice choice for a high-end carving machine for those early morning zoom and groom runs. At your height and weight, 174cm for sure.
Hope this helps and think snow!

The Firebird Comps are a bit wider in the waist than the WC model and is much more approachable and is a front side-oriented GS carving ski rather than the race specific Blizzard WC model. This is for racers only. The Firebird HRC is a high-end consumer carving skis, that are not quite as stiff as a World Cup race ski, but use trickle down race technology to still give you power, precision and great edge grip. For expert front side carving with a variety of turn shape capability, The Firebird HC would be the way to go.
Hope this helps.
