2021 Elan Wingman 86 CTI Skis
The all-new Elan Wingman 86 CTI skis are a fantastic choice for front-side rippers who are looking for some versatility to their carving stick. These things are built for speed, and they are fast. With a stiffer and less-forgiving build than the Ripstick 88, the Wingman 86 CTI is impossibly fast and stable for how light it is. When you engage the tips, you'll feel the ski start to come around. The 17.4-meter turn radius at the 184 cm length is on the more active side, so be prepared for a quick carve if you stick to the radius. When you break from it, the skis react accordingly-neither do the flap nor squirm. They are as poised and confident as can be imagined, and the high-performance nature is very slick. There's a tiny bit of tail taper right in front of the flat tail, so don't expect too much playfulness from the back end of this ski. It's got all of Elan's bells and whistles, including their Amphibio rocker profile that puts a ton of pressure on the inside edge while allowing the outside to remain playful and versatile. While not a powder ski, this rocker is very helpful, especially given that the width is not so great for deep snow. The Tubelite wood core is lined with carbon rods, leading to a stiffer and more responsive feel, so you'll get all the performance you'll ever need from the Elan Wingman 86 CTI Skis.
