Elan Wingman 86 Ti Ski with Bindings

The Elan Wingman 86 Ti skis with bindings are an amazing killer deal for skiers who are looking to go really fast all over the mountain. These were some of the more surprising skis that we've been on in the past few years, and it seems like they have rocket boosters in them or something like that. It's hard to pinpoint exactly how they get to be so fast, but I think it has a lot to do with the dual-metal laminate, the Trueline technology, and the Amphibio rocker profile. Any ski that has two sheets of metal is going to be stable, and since that metal does add weight, it turns out to be a heftier ski that feels the forces of gravity a bit more efficiently. Trueline technology helps by placing more of the mass of the ski over the inside halves of the ski. Since these are right/left-specific and asymmetric in nature, it makes sense that they can vary the amount and location of certain types of material. This gives the inside portion of the ski more bulk, and therefore feels strong and stable during a carved (or skidded) turn. This Trueline technology combines well with the Amphibio rocker profile, again taking advantage of the asymmetry of the skis, and rockering the outside edges of the skis while leaving the inside edges fully cambered. This allows the ski to roll up on edge easily and smoothly, allowing for an easy transition between turns. For skiers looking for the ultimate in smoothness, stability, and all-mountain versatility, look no further than the Elan Wingman 86 Ti skis with bindings.

Do you mount the bindings?
Question by: David on Feb 22, 2022, 11:17 PM
Hi David!
If you include your boot sole length in mm, we'll mount the bindings to the skis. Please note that you are still responsible for a final safety check at a shop prior to skiing as we do not adjust DIN or forward pressure.

Intermediate to advanced skier looking for one ski to do it all on the east coast 10-14 days per year. Wanting to improve my technique in all conditions but mostly on piste. 6’4” 230lbs. Is this a good fit or do I need something shorter, narrower and stiffer?
Question by: Graham on Mar 4, 2022, 6:45 PM
HI Graham!
It's a great fit--super fun carver that is light and maneuverable enough to handle a wide variety of conditions and terrain. I think 184 is fine for you and your size.

I’m seriously considering purchasing this ski with the bindings but am interested in what colors you have in stock for the Tyrolia 14GW bindings.. I would love if I could get yellow!
Question by: Sean on Mar 22, 2022, 5:14 PM
