Normally you do want the boot before you look at skis but there is an exception for system binding skis like this one. The binding sits on a track instead of being directly drill mounted to the ski so they are much more adjustable (263-386mm BSL range). All you would need to do is get the skis adjusted to whatever boot you end of going with. And yes the color is going to be the same as pictured for the 171.
