Fischer RC ONE 78 GT WS Women's Skis with RSW 10 GW Powerrail Bindings

The Fischer RC One 78 GT women's skis with bindings are a fantastic option for front-side lady skiers who are looking to lay down some serious trenches in the groomers. At 78 mm underfoot, these skis are certainly on the narrow side for all-mountain skis, so they are definitely better suited for groomers, hard snow, and on-piste activities. Fischer has made some awesome strides with their carving and on-trail skis over the past few years and the 78 GT is a great example of this. Starting with their air core wood core, which as some wood milled out for weight savings, the skis are snappy and energetic to begin with. The metal laminates add the strength and power, and when combined with the 78 mm waist, the skis get a ton of torsional stiffness and are some of the grippiest skis on the market today. The top layer of metal is not a full sheet, however, with cutouts in the tips and tails to allow for some more playfulness and an easier transition between turns. Rest assured, the stiffness is still all there thanks to their implementation of Bafatex fibers, which are typically used on high-end sails. This material keeps the stiffness intact while reducing weight. This extra weight found at the ends of the skis contributes to swing weight, so when it's removed, the skis get nimbler and quicker. For skiers looking to unapologetically carve up the groomers and leave deep trenches in their wake, look no further than the Fischer RC One 78 GT women's skis with bindings.

Looking at this ski/binding set up for my wife. She is 5'4" and 110 lbs. Intermediate skier looking to move up. Strictly skiing the groomed stuff here at Lake Tahoe. Thinking that a 157 would work best...your thoughts/recommendations appreciated.

The Fischer RC One 78 GT is a pretty advanced ski for a skier her size. The ski has 2 full sheets of metal and will require a lot of skier input to drive. 157 is a good length for an advanced skier her size. She will be able to progress with the ski as she improves and figures the ski out.

2021 FISCHER RC ONE 78 GT SKIS W/ RSW 10 GW POWERRAIL BINDINGS vs. 2021 FISCHER RC ONE 78 GT WS WOMEN'S SKIS W/ RSW 10 GW POWERRAIL BINDINGS - I read that Fischer's newer skis are unisex, and that it's just a different top sheet. Could you confirm this? For example, is the sidecut of the 157 length the same, and the materials too? Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. They are the same ski, same construction with different top sheets and identical radius for both as well.
Hope this helps, SE
