Kastle MX98 Skis

One of the coolest pairs of skis I've ever held in my hands, the Kastle MX98 borders on works of art. While I'd recommend skiing on them versus hanging them in a museum, they're not that far off, either. Built and shaped with the best that Kastle has got in terms of quality and perfection, the MX98 is a supremely versatile ski that knows no limits or bounds. They have the shape, build, and profile to make them amazing all-mountain skis with a bit of a freeride ability to go along with it. At 98 mm underfoot, we're right in that range of being all things to all skiers. Want to ski powder? These'll float. Want to rip groomers? They'll carve. Want to dance through the trees? They'll wiggle. For advanced and expert skiers who truly want that one pair of skis to do it all, the Kastle MX98 should be right at the top of the list. The core is a pretty sophisticated way to start a ski. With a central chord of poplar and beech stringers, the skis are stiff and dense in the middle. On the outside of this spine is only poplar, and this lighter wood gives the ski more flexibility and quickness. As a result, the MX98 feels like a race ski on groomers and a powder ski in soft snow. Kastle are the masters in doing this, and they do it better than anyone. With the central chord wrapped in fiberglass, it adds another dimension of stiffness and response to the ski. Sandwiched between two metal laminates, the Kastle MX98 skis have power for days.
