2021 Line Blade Skis

It's not that often that we get on a new set of skis and really realize that there's something different going on. This is where the Line Blade lives. It's in that zone of making skiers ask what is that thing on your feet. Line is not afraid of pushing boundaries when it comes to building unique and interesting skis, and the Blade is the latest iteration of that fun philosophy. Most ski companies, including Line, have some type of 88 mm underfoot ski that skis a lot like other 88 underfoot ski in the marketplace. We've settled on these shapes and construction types, but we certainly don't have to. The Blade is an incredibly fun ski that carves, floats, and dances down any hill at any time. The most striking aspect of the Blade is the super-wide shovel, measuring a whopping 154 mm wide at the 176 cm length. It looks like you're going to trip over them when you're skiing, but that doesn't really happen. Built with an Aspen wood core and Line's Blade metal laminate, their Gas Pedal Metal, the Blade hooks up quickly and is stable and smooth throughout the turn. The other interesting part is the tail shape. It's not a true swallow tail like the Pescado or Sakana, but it follows the same basic theme. It's also slightly turned up so that makes it a fun and playful ski capable of smeary and drifty turns.
