2021 Scott Slight 83 Skis

Super-quick and light, the Scott Slight 83 skis somehow manage to remain stable and secure. Oh, wait, we do know how they do it, we have access to the catalog and google. Scott does some interesting and unique things with the constructions of their skis, and it all starts with the shape of the core. If you're looking at it from the front, it's got a D or a domed-looing shape to it. This does a few things for the Slight 83. First, it reduces weight because those corners of the upper edges of the skis has been milled out. The lack of material would seem to make the stability of the ski suffer, but it doesn't really do that here because of the carbon and aramid elliptic weave. By using carbon stringers to stiffen the ski in a more X-shaped pattern, the skis become stiff and responsive, but with a fraction of the weight. As a result, precision is increased. The lighter and more responsive a ski is, the more exact it will be in a carved turn. Heavy skis with two sheets of metal are great for endless stability at speed but they don't provide that energy coming out of a turn for such a light weight. For the front side of the mountain and beyond, the Scott Slight 83 skis are a fantastic option. Intermediate and advanced skiers will love how the skis engage easily and smoothly, finishing the turn with energy and elegance.
