Elan Ripstick 88 Skis with Tyrolia Attack2 13 GW Bindings

For 2022, the Elan Ripstick 88 skis with bindings gets a bit of a re-make, and in a good way. They've taken the previously fun and charming Ripstick 88 and added some more carbon to the batch. This way, the inside edges of the skis get more grip and a stiffer feel but it doesn't affect how heavy the skis feel. In many ways, the added response makes them feel lighter and nimbler than ever before. Skiers who love steeps, bumps, and trees will love the updated Ripstick 88. When you click in to this setup, you'll feel instantly transformed to a time when skiing was fun and cool and you can simply do whatever you wanted on skis. The tips are still on the softer side, so mogul enthusiasts will really get a kick out of their ability to stay composed in a zipper line, no matter how steep or tight. On the groomers, that Carbon Line Technology really takes the skis to another gear and allows you to channel your inner carving enthusiast. Still keeping with the asymmetrical shape and profile, the Elan Ripstick 88 skis with bindings have all you need for all-mountain fun. When compared with some of the other high-octane skis in this shape, they don't quite hold up in the stability department, but they're far lighter and easier to use and still have a fantastic lower-speed range. Skiers all over the ability range will love the versatility and high-performance ceiling of the Elan Ripstick 88 skis with bindings.

From the video the men and the womens are constructed the same. The women available up to 170 and the mens 172 and higher. I am 5’9.5” 198lbs, broad shoulder, low expert. Is 172 mens better for me? Thank you.

Hi Jeanne! Thanks for your question. Yes, you are correct the men's & women's Ripstick 88 skis do have the same construction with different graphics and sizing as noted. The 172cm may be a better option with the fact that the Elan skis are generally 2-4cm shorter than the listed length in comparison to other skis of the same size from various manufacturers. Elan's skis tend to be a few centimeters shorter when compared side by side to other skis of the same listed length because of the stage in production the rocker profile is incorporated into the ski construction. We hope that helps with your decision. We look forward to your order!
