K2 Mindbender 90 C Skis with Bindings
Sometimes metal isn't always the solution to making a great all-mountain ski. The K2 Mindbender 90 C achieves similar performance characteristics to its relatives that use a metal laminate, but it does so in a lighter, more energetic platform which requires less effort and skier input overall. The Mindbender 90 C uses a wood core at the heart of its construction, but this core gets enhanced by carbon opposed to a Titanal Y-beam seen in the Mindbender Ti collection. K2 Uses their Spectral Braid technology which is a Carbon fiber weave that wraps the core. The weave is tighter in the tip and the center of the ski and looser in the tail. This creates stability and vibration damping in the forebody and center of the ski for solid edge hold and precision on firm snow, while the looser weave in the tail allows for less torsional stiffness by design to allow for easier edge release and pivot better maneuverability. K2 also implements their Carbon Boost Technology which incorporates longitudinal carbon stringers that run from tip to tail creating a responsive and snappy flex which give the ski a very lively and energetic feel on snow. This ski offers a great deal of power and stability, but it also offers a nice bit of forgiveness for skiing technical terrain or for skiers who aren't always charging around the resort at high speeds. What's great about this ski and its light construction is that it welcomes aggressive skiers and would certainly provide enough stability for someone who likes to charge, but it also very approachable to a more conservative skier who wants something versatile that they can take all over the resort both on and off the groomed trails. Advanced and expert skiers of varying ski styles and terrain preferences will have a blast on the K2 Mindbender 90 C.

The Nordica Navigator is a great ski for someone who is looking to strengthen their skiing ability and still have an all mountain ski. It makes complete sense that you are feeling that it is no longer enough ski for you. Moving up to a K2 Mindbender 90c will give you the extra edge that you were starting to notice in the Navigator. The Mindbender has a stronger construction that will allow you to perform with ease. I think the 165 will be a perfect fit for someone making their way into the advanced skier category.
I hope this helped Mark,
