Lange LX 90 Men's Ski Boots

The Lange LX 90 Men's Ski Boot is a great option for advanced intermediate to advanced level skiers with a medium wide forefoot and medium shaft of the leg. The LX stands for luxurious, and that's the exact feeling you get once you slide these boots on. A Dual Core Light Shell incorporates lightweight materials for consistent expansion and boot compression to harness power when it's time to cruise down the mountain. A Dual 3D Comfort Liner provides all day comfort as well as good out-of-the-box fit. An Easy Step Insert uses softer plastic in the instep area to slide your foot in effortlessly and exit the boot in the same fashion. You could not ask for any easier, carefree way to get in and out of your boots. The combination of all this technology provides high-end support, response, and a great snow-feel, while Natural Stance increases energy efficiency and reduces quad fatigue. 4 Aluminum buckles keep things tight, along with a 40mm Velcro power strap to provide added cuff support and stiffness. Mono-material soles provide great grip for walking around the resort or back to the car after a long day on the slopes. Gentleman, if you are a progressing intermediate skier, with a wider foot who wants a precise fit with a pain free experience, then look no further than the Lange LX 90 Men's Ski Boot.

I need a 27.5 with a 316mm sole
will these lange lx 90 be right?
Question by: Kyle Simpson on Jan 16, 2022, 4:13 PM
HI Kyle!
It's a great boot for the price--102 mm in the forefoot and 90 in the flex is a good mix of comfort and performance. We do have it in that size!

I have a more general boot question… 2020/21 was my first season skiing in 18 years, so needless to say my 20 year old equipment wasn’t going to cut it and bought new equipment for a beginner/intermediate skier to start out with. I’d been feeling like I was hitting a plateau in my abilities at a solid intermediate level, but after going to a demo day back in March, realized that my equipment was holding me back. I found myself some 21/22 Blizzard Rustler 9s on sale, and now that I’m looking around at bindings, starting to rethink boots too.

All that said, right now I’m in a Tecnica Ten.2 70 size 26.5. From the reading I’ve done, it sounds like I should be looking at a boot with a flex of 90 or 100 (Agree, disagree?). When measuring my foot using the paper trick I’ve seen online, the length is 26cm. Since size 26.0 seems pretty rare, would you recommend a 25.5?
Question by: Brenton on May 21, 2022, 10:35 AM
Hi Brenton!

I would absolutely recommend moving up to a stiffer boot. The stiffer boots in that 100+ range will offer better energy transfer and more stability at higher speeds so boots like the Lange RX 100 and Tecnica Mach 1 110 offer a much higher level of performance compared to beginner boots in the 50-80 flex range. As for size I would try on both a 25.5 and a 26.5 at a shop to see what fits your foot best before purchasing a boot.
