Line Pescado Skis

The Line Pescado has to be one of the most unique ski designs ever devised, and despite its alluring shapeliness, there is a lot of practicality hidden amongst its curves. Eric Pollard, long-time Line Athlete and ski designer, developed to Pescado to allow skiers to approach terrain with a directional ski with the same creativity as they could with a twin tip ski. Often times the design of a twin tip ski can counteract the performance desired in certain terrain and snow conditions so the pescado aims to provide the performance of a directional ski without losing the playfulness of a bi-directional ski. The Pescado is built with Line's Partly Cloudy Core which is a blend of lightweight woods that allow for a more forgiving flex throughout. A sidewall construction ads power to the edges of the ski and actually provides solid edge hold on firmer snow as well. The most unique attribute in the design of the Pescado is the swallowtail shape. Not only does it look cool, but it actually does a few things that give the ski a very unique feel. In deep snow, the swallowtail allows the rear of the ski to sit deeper into the snow which helps keep the front of the ski up for better float, allowing you to stay more centered over your ski instead of leaning back to get the float you want. On firmer snow, the Swallow tail and extended sidecut provide a longer effective edge for impressive carving abilities that are often not seen in a powder ski. Skiers looking for the ultimate soft snow performance in a ski that allows them to look at terrain in a fun and unique way will love the Line Pescado.
