Line Sakana Skis with Bindings
We feel confident in saying you've probably never seen a ski like this. Even if you have it's hard to think of a modern ski that features the design attributes of this one, the Line Sakana. There are a lot of people out there in search of the seemingly non-existent "powder slalom ski". Well, contrary to popular belief, that ski does exist. The Line Sakana blends carving and freeride to create one of the most unique on snow experiences imaginable. Yeah, we know, these things look really cool, but that's not their only merit. At 105 millimeters under the boot, there's no question that this ski is much wider than any carving ski on the market, and while a narrower ski provides a quicker edge to edge feel, these things are still pretty darn quick for how wide they are. In order to get a ski like this to carve, it needs to have a pretty exaggerated sidecut, so with that comes a very wide shovel and tail. Between the shape and flex of this ski, you'll feel like you're cutting right across the fall line as soon as you lay these things over. The Swallowtail shape allows Line to utilize a longer effective edge while simultaneously reducing the surface area of the tail. The result is a better, stronger carve and more float in deeper snow. It's pretty cool to see the vastly disparate worlds of carving and freeride blend into a ski that on paper might not make much sense, but in reality, works so well.
