What size skis for more daughter who is 5'6, 130 lbs and size 8 shoe. She is and adv beginner to more of a intermediate skier.
Question by: Leslie Hall on Dec 6, 2021, 7:23 PM
Hi Leslie,

At your daughter's height, weight and ability, the 144cm size for this ski is much too short. She should be in a 158-164cm range for ski length depending on the manufacturer's offerings. Here are a few package suggestions that would be a nice fit for her:

2022 VOLKL FLAIR 72 WOMEN'S SKIS W/ DALBELLO DS MX 70 BOOTS AND POLES
2022 HEAD V-SHAPE V2 SKIS W/ NORDICA CRUISE 70 SKI BOOT AND POLES
2022 SALOMON WOMEN'S S/FORCE W 5 SKIS W/ ROSSIGNOL KELIA 50 BOOT AND POLES

Hope this helps and think snow!

my 15 year old daughter is very petite but an advanced skier, comfortable on double black diamonds. she is 4'10 and only about 115 lbs. shoe size 7.5 - length suggestions would be appreciated
Question by: amy on Nov 16, 2021, 8:32 PM
Hi Amy,

Thanks for your inquiry-

This package is for beginner skiers. Your daughter would overpower this ski and boot based on her advanced skills, despite her height and weight.

At her height, weight and skiing ability, her ski size would in the 149-151 cm range. Based on her shoe size, she would be a 23.5.

All of our complete packages listed on our site are for beginner/intermediate skiers. Not enough performance in the ski or the boots for your daughter.

Here are a few suggestions that would suit her needs: (These packages do not include boots)

2022 NORDICA SANTA ANA 88 WOMEN'S SKIS W/ TYROLIA ATTACK2 11 GW BINDINGS

2022 STOCKLI NELA 80 WOMEN'S SKIS W/ TYROLIA ATTACK2 11 GW BINDINGS

2022 VOLKL BLAZE 86 WOMEN'S SKI W/ MARKER 10.0 TP

Here are a few boots we would recommend to complement the ski/binding packages above:

2021 LANGE LX 90 WOMEN'S BOOT

2022 DALBELLO CHAKRA AX 95 SKI BOOTS

2022 ATOMIC HAWX ULTRA 95 S GW WOMEN'S SKI BOOT

Hope this helps and think snow!

Hi what sizes would you recommend in skis, poles and boots for my daughter? She is 5’4 and 130lbs. Her shoe size is 8. Thanks so much in advance.
Question by: Cassandra on Nov 30, 2021, 6:38 AM
Hello Cassandra-

Thanks for your inquiry-

We would recommend the following sizes based on your daughters' stats:

Skis: 154cm length in this particular package. You could go up to a 160 length if need be.
Poles: 46"
Boots: 25.0

Hope this helps and think snow!

Good evening! I'm looking at the women's package SKU 0A127200P. The picture shows 4 buckles on the boots, but the description says there are 3 buckles on the boots. Can you confirm how many buckles are on the boots? Also, if the person these are intended for wears a size 6 shoe, should we get a size 23 boot since it will smash down inside and get a little bigger over time?
Question by: Chris on Dec 1, 2021, 9:03 PM
Hello Chris,

The wrong picture was put up on the package page. The Keila 50 is a 3-buckle boot. Yes, a size 6 US women's shoe would equate to a size 23 boot.

The boots will "pack out" a bit over time but won't produce more space length wise. The liner of the boot is what packs out. A ski boot should fit tight like a sock with no heel lift in the back when you are flexing forward in the boot and your toes should just be touching the very front of the boot.

Hope this helps.

I am 5ft 7in 125 pounds and have been skiing off and on since I was a kid. I would consider myself somewhere between intermediate and advanced. I would like this package but I am not sure if I should go for the 156cm length of 162cm length. What would you recommend?
Question by: Erin on Dec 24, 2021, 1:44 PM
Hi Erin,

At your height and weight, the 162cm length would be ideal.

Happy holidays!

Hi Jodi,

Yes, this would be an ideal package for you but we are sold out.

Here is another package that I would recommend that would suit you as well:

2022 HEAD EASY JOY WOMEN'S SKIS W/ NORDICA CRUISE 65W BOOTS AND POLES

Go with the 158 cm length for skis, 24.0 boot and a 36" pole.

Do you mount the skis for the ski packages, or will I need to take somewhere? Can you recommend ski package for 39 year old woman, beginner, but starting blues, 5’3, 130 lbs? Thanks!
Question by: Amanda on Jan 25, 2022, 9:53 AM
HI Amanda!
We mount the bindings to the skis, but you are still responsible for getting a final safety check at a shop as we do not adjust DIN or forward pressure. I like this Wild Belle package in the 150 or this one in the 148: https://www.skiessentials.com/2022-head-absolut-joy-women-s-skis-w-dalbello-ds-mx-65-boots-and-poles.html Have fun!

Hello!
I am a beginner, almost intermediate skier. I am 5’5” and about 125lbs and wear a 7.5 size shoe. My old ski boots are 24.5 and would like to replace them. I’m uncertain on whether to go with the 156 or 162 skis and which pole size to go with. Do you guys carry my sizes in stock, and also do you guys mount the bindings and adjust them to the boot?
Thanks!!
Question by: Jenny on Feb 1, 2022, 12:53 PM
Hi Jenny,

This is a system ski that comes with a binding. If you look at your boot sole length (If you don't know what that is scroll down at the bottom of our home page and click on "Sizing Information.") and provide us with that well mount the bindings for free with the purchase of the package. At your stats, go with a 162cm length ski, 46" pole and a 24 boot size.

hHve fun!

Hi! I'm looking for sizing suggestions. I'm 5'3", 125 lbs, size 7 shoe. I would say I fall between the beginner and intermediate scale and usually go down green runs and occasionally blues. Rental shops usually give me skis that are 140.
Question by: Jen on Feb 4, 2022, 11:40 AM
Hi Jen!
I'd look to the 150 if you're buying the skis, and generally stick to the shoe size for boots. Performance fits you can size down, but if you're in the beginner/intermediate zone, a 7 should be fine!
