2022 Stockli Nela 96 Women's Skis
Stockli Nela 96 Women's Skis
The Stockli Nela 96 women's skis are an awesome example of a top-flight ski that has versatility to spare. Not that you'd want to spare any benefit of the ski, but these things can quite simply do it all. Built much like the men's Stormrider skis, the Nela 96 has that well-rounded shape that can handle any conditions or terrain at any time. As the Nela skis increase in width, so do their taper shapes and rocker profiles. As a result, the 96 is not only a superior powder ski just because of its surface area, but also its rocker lines and taper. The deeper the taper and rocker, the more playful the ski. While not a true pow ski by any stretch, the shape and the build combine to make it the best floater in the Nela lineup. This is not to say the ski can't hold an edge. Thanks to the Titec top sheet and the overall Swiss-made precision of the ski, the Nela 96 is quite quick from edge to edge, especially for its width. At 96 mm underfoot, the skis aren't lightning-quick, but they do have some good energy coming out of the turn. The metal top sheet allows for the skier's input to be directly and efficiently transmitted to the rest of the ski, allowing and creating that precise contact between athlete and snow. For advanced and expert skiers who are looking for the ultimate in versatility and precise performance, the Stockli Nela 96 women's skis with bindings is a perfect deal.

Unless you seek and search for fresh and deep snow, I'd stick to the 88 over the 96. It's better for trees, bumps, and carving, and while the 96 will float better, the 88 still isn't so bad. I'd go with the 160 in the 88. Have fun!
