Volkl Flair 72 Women's Skis with Boots and Poles

The Volkl Flair 72 is a fantastic option for beginner and intermediate skiers that want to take their skiing to the next level. These skis are light, easy to control, and overall, just very approachable, but you still get a quality construction and feel just as you would expect from any Volkl ski. At 72 millimeters under the boot, the Flair 72 provides a nice narrow platform best suited to making quick turns on groomed terrain. Pair that with a nice forgiving flex pattern and some early rise and you get effortless maneuverability for whatever kind of turn you want to make. No work and all play with this ski. It can feel cumbersome and daunting while trying to learn proper ski technique on a ski that requires a lot of effort. This ski is intended to make learning and progression easy and is meant to welcome new skiers to the hill, hoping that they get hooked on the sport of skiing and will stay participating in the sport for years to come.

2022 Volkl Flair 72 Women's Skis w/ Nordica Cruise 75W Boots and Poles
Hi, is the ski fully mounted with the boots purchase? Is the ski need to be waxed before use? If yes, would you recommend permanent wax or regular wax? How often should it be waxed?
Thanks much!
Question by: Vanessa on Nov 27, 2021, 12:34 AM
Hi Vanessa, Thank you for reaching out. We will mount the skis to the boots in the package, but you will still need to take the skis and boots in person to a local ski shop to get the final adjustments done before skiing. This must be done in person, they will set the bindings to your ability, height, and weight. The skis come factory tuned and are fine to ski without getting tuned. I do recommend the permanent wax, I have it on all my skis and love that I always get the best glide on the slope. Hope this helps, let us know if you have anymore questions. Best, Alli

I’m ordering my daughter
Hi there! I’m buying the 2022 VOLKL FLAIR 72 WOMEN'S SKIS W/ NORDICA CRUISE 75W BOOTS AND POLES package and I had two questions. 1. My daughters shoes size is 8. Are the boots true to size? Also what size poles would I order her? She is 5’8”. Thank you!
Question by: Linda Aparo on Nov 19, 2021, 2:54 PM
Hi Linda,

Thanks for your inquiry-

A women's shoe size 8 would equate to a boot size of a 24. At her height, she would go for a 48" pole or 120 cms.

Hope this helps and think snow!

my daughter is a size 8 and 5'3" what shoe size and pole size. We are thinking ski size 150
Question by: Julie Greene on Nov 29, 2021, 12:03 PM
Hello Julie-

Thanks for your inquiry-

A US size 8 would be a 24.0 for a performance fit. At 5'3 she should go with a 44" pole and a size 158 cm ski. the 150 cm length (Or 151 cm length offered for this ski) would be too short for her.

Hope this helps and think snow!

Answer by: Dave Hatoff on Nov 29, 2021, 1:26 PM
Hello. Adding on to the question above, my daughter is exactly a US shoe size 8, about 5'3-5'4 in height. She was always measured to get a 150-151cm ski at the ski resorts. Why the difference in skis length? (The answer given in the last question posted says to get 158 cm skis)
Question by: Linda Wen on Nov 30, 2021, 10:26 AM
Hello Linda,

At her height, we would recommend that 158-160 length. A 10 cm length difference would equate to 3.94 inches. Not a big jump in length, would not be a very noticeable and would provide some extra performance growing room for her. The 150-151 cm length is too short. We would recommend that size to someone that is 5'0- 5'1 in height.

Hope this helps and think snow!

I see the 144 is the only size available. Is that too small for me at 5’7 and 145lbs
Question by: Tammy snyder on Dec 24, 2021, 4:51 PM
Hi Tammy,

At your height and weight, the 144cm length would be too small for you. At your stats, you should be between a 168-1709cm length depending on the brand. here are few options that we have your size available that are very comparable to the package you listed above.

Hope this helps and happy holidays!

I don't quite understand your boot sizing explanation , I'm trying to size my daughter.
Your "?" explains this.."Please keep in mind that ski boots DO NOT come in half-sizes. If you measure a Men's 8/Mondopoint 26, please select 26.5, for example."....
Then your answer to this fake question does not correlate to your boot sizing guide example above in the "?"

I do not get it, a woman's 8... would correlate to a 25.0 (or 25.5, the way your guide explains), but why would you recommend a 24.0

Sorry, but could use some help with this?

Question by: Mj Puiia on Jan 2, 2022, 11:07 PM
Hi MJ,

My Mistake, a size 8 would equate to a size 25. The pole height of 48" is correct.

Sorry for the error.
