I'm looking for a ski that will be super fun on days that I get to be 100% in moguls and trees (not just powder days but also when this terrain is northeast "firm"). I'm just starting to progress in technical terrain and love it and want a ski that will help me improve. I have other skis for time on groomers, so I don't need to compromise for all-mountain capability with this ski. I had been looking at the Sheeva9 and the Ranger 94 FR and had pretty much decided on the Sheeva as the better option for my current ability level. And then I saw your intro to the 2023 Rangers. It seems that the 2023 Ranger 90 might be even more fun than the Sheeva for my purposes. 5'4" 132 pounds - leaning toward the 156/7 but am open to a 163. My groomer skis are 159 (Black Pearl 88) and 165 (Nela 80). This ski will be used almost exclusively in northern New England, so a ski that can cling to harder snow is more important than float. Also, I will probably put an AT binding on this ski - sidecountry, not backcountry. How would you position these two skis for me?

HI Argyll!
I think the Sheeva has better grip than the Ranger, which I found to have better float. I'd still stick to that ski for a primary option, although the performance of all three on your list is quite close.
