2024 BLIZZARD HUSTLE 10 SKIS

$799.95

Returning unchanged for 2024, the Blizzard Hustle 10retains its graphic, construction, and shape. This unique ski certainly blurs the lines between a resort and touring ski because it can do both as well as everything in between. In an age where hybrid skis and bindings are all the rage, the Hustle is the epitome of versatility with its full range of applications. So, what are the Hustle 10’s for? Are they touring skis? Are they resort skis? Are they 50/50 hybrid resort and touring skis? Blizzard seems to call them touring ski. However, we think that they can be whatever you would like them to be. Light enough to tour, yet strong enough to be a resort ski, it is hard not to think that they can do both extremely well.

The 2024 Blizzard Hustle 10’s construction is quite unique with a TrueBlend Freeride Core and Carbon D.R.T. (Dynamic Release Technology) laminate. In the 180cm length, a pair weighs 3560 grams which is impressively light for a ski of this width and overall strength. By weight alone, the Hustle 10 is closer to that of a resort ski than a touring ski. However, it is certainly lighter than a lot of resort skis with similar shapes and sidecuts. Which means that is could easily serve as a touring, resort, or hybrid ski. The TrueBlend Freeride Core consists of a multi-stringer lay-up of 3 types of wood: 8 stringers of Beech, 3 of Poplar, and 5 of Paulownia. This technique fine tunes the flex of the ski to be more forgiving in the extremities, stable underfoot, and semi-supple torsionally in the extremities. Reinforcing the core is Blizzard’s Carbon D.R.T Laminate, which uses carbon and fiberglass to provide lightweight dampening properties as well as stability, control, and responsiveness. Together, these features make the Hustle extremely energetic and intuitive because of their maneuverability and stability.

In past years, the Hustle 10 shared the same profile and sidecut as the closely related Rustler 10. However, for 2024, the Hustle retains its shape while the Rustler gets a new shape. The twin-tip freeride profile with tip rocker, camber underfoot, and tail rocker make the Hustle 10 highly maneuverable in all types of settings. Generous tip and tail rocker supply endless float, turn initiation and release no matter which direction you are skiing. Camber underfoot grips onto the snowpack in firm conditions while also supplying energy to the ski making it responsive in all sorts of snow conditions. In the 180cm length, the sidecut of the Hustle 10 is 133mm in the forebody, 102mm underfoot, and 122.5mm in the tails which generates a turning radius of 17.5 meters. These dimensions are extremely versatile and highly capable when it comes to a variety of snow conditions, terrains, and applications. Wide enough for soft snow yet narrow enough for some excellent on-piste carving.

Circling back to the philosophy behind these skis, who would benefit from having a ski like this with all of its versatility and capabilities? Well, the short answer is many of you! Whether it be you are looking for a soft snow touring specific ski, a resort specific ski, or a cost-effective resort/touring hybrid ski option, the Hustle 10 satisfies those needs and more! Depending on what bindings and boots you pair with the Hustle 10 surely dictates what application you use it for. Whether that be a lightweight tech binding with touring boots, a hybrid binding with hybrid boots, or an alpine binding with alpine boots, these versatile skis will perform well no matter what.
