Katrine Wolfgang
Katrine learned how to ski on Tollhouse here at Stowe, and she’s come a long way from that! She calls her skiing ability “expertly cautious,” and that’s a phenomenal way to describe yourself. Katrine is the owner/final boss at Pinnacle Ski and Sports, and even with all that going on, she still gets out about 30 days per year. Currently, she skis on a mix of the Blizzard Black Pearl (88), the Volkl Kenja, and the Blizzard Samba. When you own the shop, you don’t have to decide on just one pair of skis. In the off season, Katrine heads down to Long Island, where she collects shells and sea glass to make mobiles out of. Her additional hobbies of fishing, boating, and sailing are a welcome reprieve from the cold winter months here in Stowe. As a good mom, her favorite skier is her son, Josh. Additionally, if she could be any animal, she’d be her dog Spencer, who, if you’ve ever met Spencer, has the greatest life in the world. It’s great having Katrine test skis for the second year now, as she has a unique view on the retail aspect of skiing, and of the sport in general.
