Welcome to our 10th Annual Ski Test! Has it really been ten years? We’ve come a long way in that time, and now for 2027, we continue to improve; finding new ways of highlighting brands and models and providing as much information as we can to help steer you into the proper ski buying decision. After all, skis are highly subjective, so our use of testers, various conditions, terrain, and locations all factor into our attempts to help you home in on the right choice. This year, we tested 351 different skis from 19 brands, and if you can’t find something that works for you in this pile, then it likely doesn’t exist.

Each ski gets its own writeup, video, photo section, and set of tester feedback. With over 150 testers at our disposal from varying ski backgrounds, with different styles and tastes, and of numerous ages and sizes, we feel as though we get a very comprehensive look at why a ski works well and who it works well for. We also see the other end of the spectrum, as it's imperative to note why a ski doesn't fare well in certain situations and for particular skiers. Powder skis shouldn't score well on firm snow. Race carving skis are generally not playful. We do our best to keep that feedback in as well, since it's equally as important as the positives.

The goal here is for you, the reader, to find a tester with whom you identify, and see what they like, or don't like. See what other skis compare to the ones you're interested in and find out what testers had to say about those. If you have a decent starting point, whether it's waist width, brand, construction style, or shape, it should be pretty easy to hook into about 3-5 different skis. If you can do that, your chances of success and happiness with your ultimate decision will skyrocket. If you're just here for the info and the stoke, then have right at it!
