The K2 Fulluvit 95 is an awesome ski for ladies who love to charge, and are looking to winnow down their ski collection to a few select models. This one is the go-anywhere, do-anything ski that could easily be your one and only. Having options is never a bad thing, though. But as far as K2 is concerned, if you like to carve, ski woods, bump-off, or hit the bowls, the Fulluvit 95 can do it all. Featuring a long tip rocker profile, the skis perform really well in softer snow. Once you get them up and on edge, they really come to life. The tip takes a fraction of a second longer to engage, but if you are expecting it, then it’s not a big deal. In the soft snow, however, the float is sublime. Construction-wise, the wood core has a layer of titanium over the edges with braided fiberglass woven throughout. The end result is a snappy yet damp ski that can make a whole host of turn shapes. Our testers picked up on this fact, and reviewed the skis accordingly.
Ann MacDonald skied the 163 cm length, and as a result of the long tip rocker, she felt that it skied short. She scored it 5 out of 5 for flotation, and the rest of her scores were 4’s. She called them “very playful and forgiving. They are easy turning and fairly stable. The tip is very rockered so the skis float over crud well. Torsionally, the skis are fairly stiff underfoot so you can stand on it at speed and it holds. Overall, it’s a pretty versatile ski for all-mountain fun!”
Also skiing the 163, Ali Berlin gave a 5 for flotation. She scored the K2 Fulluvit 95 4 out of 5 for stability and forgiveness—an oxymoronic combination that we love to see in skis. “These skis had a nice feel to them with weight balanced over the center of the ski. I had a blast coasting down the hill with swooshy turns. Overall it’s a good all-mountain ski that seems to prefer soft snow. They’re certainly best suited for those white fluffy snow days.” We like those kinds of days too!
Ariel Aidala skied the 163 and loved the quickness, maneuverability, and versatility of the Fulluvit 95. Ariel skis a K2 Remedy on most days, and she drew some interesting comparisons between the two. Whereas the Remedy is a twin tipped ski, the Fulluvit is much more directional. She calls the Fulluvit a “good ski to have for everyday groomers. It’s very responsive and quick to turn. Good for those who enjoy skiing the frontside as well as other terrain. With a wider tip, I’d imagine they do just fine in powder. Compared to the Remedy, these were not as forgiving.” For skiers looking for a more front-side oriented performer, the Fulluvit will do all that and more.
The 163 cm felt true to size for Mar Kuhnel. She scored 5’s for flotation and playfulness, while the remainder of her scores were all 4’s. From those marks, it’s easy to tell that Mar liked the Fulluvit 95. She agrees with our assessment: “Well of course as you know, this is my kind of ski. Fun, turny, smooth through heavy chunks and easy to make a wide variety of turn shapes. They’re nimble through bumps and surprisingly stable for a 163.”
Ladies who love to ski the whole mountain will love the performance and playful character of the K2 Fulluvit 95. They carver great turns, float through powder, and dance through the trees. What more could you really want?
