Jeff Neagle tested the 197 cm Rossignol X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium and found that it’s all it is billed to be. He had previously tested the Delta Comp skin ski and noticed a fair difference. He found the X-ium C2 Premium to “reward good technique, but it was less forgiving to those that are still working to develop their classic technique.” He found the X-ium C2 Premiums require the skier to drive their legs forward and to also have a more precise kick zone to decrease drag. Jeff noted how “if you have good kick and glide technique and/or have a good double-pole plant, these skis are an absolute blast.” Jeff would recommend these skis to anyone who is serious about racing. These skis will bring your racing game to the next level.
Ellen Curran tested the 190 cm X-ium C2 R-Skin and was surprised at how fast they were. Ellen found the skin to have a “soft grip feeling which made the skis feel graceful and efficient.” Ellen found that these skis “hang in the track well and to not wash out around corners.” She was able to adjust the binding position on the ski to optimize her position on the skis thanks to the IFP binding plate. Ellen moved it forward which gave her “even more grip when going up hills. “
Jake Inger tested the high flex 202 cm Rossignol X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium skis and had a blast. Even though they were most likely too big and possible too stiff for Jake, he still felt that it was easy to push through the skis and efficiently transfer power. He told us, “These skis are the real deal.” Jake also noted how lightweight the X-ium C2 R-Skin skis Premiums were and how it made him feel like an even better skier. Jake found that when he “let the X-ium C2 R-Skin Premiums glide, they went fast!” He rated the X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium skis five out of five for both speed and glide. Jake summed these skis up by saying “these skis are very fast and feel alive.”
Carol Van Dyke tested out the 190 cm X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium for she wanted to try a top of the line classic ski. She found the X-ium C2 R-Skin to “feel fast but to lack easy grip.” Carol gave the Xium C2 R-Skin Premium a five out of five for both speed and glide. She felt that the X-ium C2 demanded more power on the kick than she could deliver. Carol would like to test a softer flex X-ium C2 R-Skin out in the future.
The X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium skis from Rossignol are a high-performance classic racing ski. For those who are serious about racing and want something close to weightless, the X-ium C2 R-Skin Premium is a perfect choice. Just be sure to make sure the flex is suitable for your weight.
