The Salomon Snowscape 7 skis were made to please everyone. They might not be the lightest or fastest skis on the market but will allow any skier to go anywhere they please. The waxless design of the Snowscape 7 eliminates any need to make the right wax call. The Snowscape 7 has a 3D construction which creates a more predictable experience for the user. At the widest point the Snowscape 7 measures out to 59 mm allowing for the ski to sit comfortably in the classic tracks at Nordic centers. The Snowscape 7 features Salomon’s G2 Plus base for smooth gliding and a grippy kick zone. The engineers at Salomon made the Snowscape easier to ski and used the Salomon S-CUT side cut for the utmost agility. Our testers raved about the ease of use and overall friendly nature of the Snowscape 7.
Bob St.Pierre took the size large Snowscape 7 on his legendary 20-minute testing loop at the Trapp Nordic center. Bob loved the ease and usability of the Snowscape 7 skis. When heading up some of the steep pitches on the loop, Bob found the Snowscape 7 to “climb great and inspire confidence on the downhills.” Bob gave the Snowscape 7 a five out of five for stability and maneuverability. You can be sure the Snowscape 7 will give you confidence on snow. The Snowscape 7 is a great option for fitness, recreational, and fun-seeking skiers.
Shelby Parenteau tested the medium size and really enjoyed how they responded to her input. Shelby found the Snowscape 7 skis to do a great job re-introducing her to classic skiing as they were very easy to use. Shelby found the skis to “grip really well when heading uphill and to not be daunting on the downhills.” While the Snowscape 7’s grip nicely, they also glided easily. Shelby found the Snowscape 7 skis to be “a great versatile ski for beginners such as herself.”
Allison Ruschp took out the Medium Snowscape 7 skis and thoroughly enjoyed what they had to offer. Alli found the Snowscape 7 to be “an excellent starter ski with plenty of grip and stability.” Alli “would recommend this ski to new cross-country skiers looking to shuffle and kick around for fun.” Alli felt very comfortably on the Snowscape 7 going both uphill and downhill.
Carol Van Dyke tested the medium Snowscape 7 and found some interesting applications for their use. While the Snowscape 7 does not have off-the-charts performance like some of Salomon’s S/LAB skis, it “would be a great option for people who might not be near a premier ski center. If you find yourself living near golf courses and lots of woods, the Snowscape 7 will allow you to start exploring those areas.” Luckily the Snowscape 7 is narrow enough to also fit in conventional classic tracks.
Jeff Neagle tried out the Large Snowscape 7 and found them to be the right size. While the Snowscape 7 has lots of grip, Jeff found them to be “really smooth and fun. Plenty of kick but didn’t drag too much.” The Snowscape 7 will ensure confidence when you are about to head up steep hills. While the Snowscape 7 is at home in the classic tracks, it does a good job maneuvering outside of the tracks too. Jeff found the Snowscapes 7s to “barely wander under his feet when he took them off the groomed trails. These skis would be great for anyone who just wants to get out and enjoy classic ski touring.”
The Snowscape 7 is a great option for beginner to intermediate skiers because of its versatility and stability. If you are looking to kick around the yard or check out a Nordic center, the Snowscape 7 can do it all. The Snowscape 7 will build your confidence on the snow.
