2024 Line Ruckus Junior Ski

2024 LINE RUCKUS JUNIOR SKI

$329.95

The 2024 Line Ruckus is a great choice for the tweener park shredder who’s looking to make their mark on the freestyle world. These skis use much of Line’s technology and shaping properties that propel their bigger park skis to the forefront of the park and pipe discussion. By making a lighter, funner, and easier to use twin tip for junior and smaller skiers, Line captures a new audience that loves to dedicate their ski time mainly to the park, but also doesn’t want to forget that the rest of the mountain exists.

Built with an Aspen veneer wood core, the Ruckus is a real deal ski with a strong backbone for rugged park skiing. Durability can be an issue with today’s modern park and pipe skier, so it’s highly beneficial to have the construction that not only lengthens the life span of the ski, but also gives you the confidence to send it bigger and boost it higher. Since it’s a fairly simple build, there’s not much else going on to get in the way of the wood. Line offers this ski in a 135, 145, and a 155, so the sizing range is on the shorter side—great for those looking to enter the park world with ease and poise. In the 155, the ski is pretty light, hitting 1100 grams per ski. Basically, they’re taking their full-on park ski and designing it shorter for a more entry level zone of skiers.

At 82 mm underfoot, this ski is on the narrow side in the waist, and that provides excellent edge grip and torsional stiffness for those looking to carve off of lips and get drifty in the air. The waist is bolstered by fairly wide tips and tails, with 108 mm shovels and 103 mm tails. This almost symmetrical measurement makes for a 16-meter turn radius in the 155, and allows for predictable and smooth switch skiing, takeoffs, and landings. With slightly higher camber underfoot and more moderate rocker in the tips and tails, this ski has some great energy built in due to the profile, again putting emphasis on the poppy takeoffs when the ski is under pressure.

There’s a lot of young skiers out there who are looking to get into the park game, and it’s super important that they have the right ski to get them there. For most, who are looking at a mostly symmetrical ski that falls into the 135, 145, and 155 cm range, the Ruckus is an inspiring choice. It has the build, shape, and durability to take young and small park shredders to the next level and beyond.
