2024 NORDICA ENFORCER 94 SKI
When we’re talking about the Enforcer series, it’s kind of tough to figure out where the 94 lies. For some, the mid-90's is the place to be for true versatility, and for those skiers, this one stands out among the rest. There’s such an amazing sense of well-rounded power in this ski, and while it has stayed the same over the years in terms of construction, it always seems to stay one step ahead of the competition when it comes to precision, power, and stability. When you factor in the ski’s dampness, power, and weight, this thing is best suited for advanced and expert skiers who are on the more aggressive side of the spectrum. Mellower skiers can use these, but it’s best if they size down and have a reasonable expectation that it’ll be a somewhat demanding ski. Thanks to the shape, profile, and construction, the 2024 Nordica continues its lead in the mid-90's category as a strong and stable option for advanced and expert all-mountain skiers.

The construction of the ski is where all the burliness starts. We get a performance wood core that is pretty dense and strong, and two sheets of metal on top and bottom. This metal is still on the thin side, allowing for proper flex for the application of the ski. Balancing that, the ski also gets two layers of carbon-infused fiberglass that adds pop and energy to the mix. These components combine to create an incredibly powerful ski that can handle high-speeds, different terrain, and varied snow conditions. This does, however, equate to a higher weight, with the 179 hitting 2080 grams on the scale. We get two longer lengths as well, with the big 191 registering 2450 grams, making it one of the heavier skis in the industry at this shape and size. That said, it’s also one of the most stable—capable and willing to charge through and over any type of snow that’s put in its way.

While the 94 is one of the most versatile widths out there, it’s surprising how well it performs on-trail as well. This is where it shines brightest. In the 179, we’re getting a 17.1-meter turn radius, so it’s a fairly crisp turner that can handle tighter arcs as well as longer turn shapes and styles. The build allows skiers to point it straighter down the fall line with minimal chatter, but the built-in turn shape and energetic style do make it accessible to shorter arcs as well. If you’re looking for quick skidded turns, there are better options out there, but if you’re happy standing on the ski and letting it power through the carve, this is about as good as it gets. The shovel has more freeride characteristics than the tail, which despite the rounded shape, is still quite stiff and demanding. In softer snow, the taper and rocker of the front of the ski will allow for decent flotation, but since it has a stiff flex and a heavy weight, it’s happier on firmer snow.
Advanced and expert skiers who are looking to spend most of their time in an on-trail format will love the dense and powerful feel of the 2024 Nordica Enforcer 94. There aren’t many skis out there like this, with a symphonic blend of energy and strength that leads to incredibly high-end skiing. Sure, there are floatier mid-90's underfooted skis out there, and that’s fine for skiers who prefer mellower and more moderate skiing—there's plenty of that to be done. If you’re looking for something that’s more on the fringe of aggressive all-mountain freeride, the Enforcer 94 is at the top of its class.
