2024 ROSSIGNOL SENDER 94 TI SKIS
Talk about a lot of performance at under 2000 grams. The 2024 Rossignol Sender 94 Ti is one of those rare skis that’s able to take on aggressive skiing, fast speeds, deep snow, firm groomers, and tight trees all at the same time. This ski exudes versatility, and the fact that it does it at a relatively light weight is all the more impressive. After picking up where the Escaper left off two years ago, Sender 94 Ti joined the rest of the Sender family, beefed up its build, and enticed a whole new generation of advanced skiers to appreciate the limitless performance that this ski offers. Everyone feels like a winner on this ski as it has a rare combination of so many traits. While it should be mentioned in the same conversation as other popular names such as Rustler, QST, and Enforcer, it tends to fall a bit behind. It could be a graphic thing—the 94 closely matches the wider skis in the Sender line, or it could just be that it gets lost in a pretty competitive field. Either way, it’s an excellent ski that unfortunately has a somewhat dull appearance. Those who ski it, though, learn pretty quickly that this is about as uncommon as it gets when it comes to performance and capabilities.

The main attribute keeping this ski light is the paulownia wood core. What’s amazing about paulownia isn’t just the weight, but also the stiffness. Sure, it’s maneuverable and agile because of the lack of density, but the energy inside the wood core makes this ski extremely quick and precise. It’s almost surprising how well this ski operates in terms of pop and rebound. Underfoot and extending a bit to the front and back lies Rossignol’s Titanal Beam. This is more than just a binding retention plate, rather it goes edge to edge and makes for excellent edge grip and torsional stiffness underfoot. In addition, we’re getting Damp Tech to reduce vibrations to go along with Air Tip for increased maneuverability and agility. This keeps the shovel somewhat softer and allows for a smoother path through the snow. At 1800 grams per ski in the 178, this ski is strong and quick—a wonderful combination for true all-mountain skiing.

In the 178, we’re looking at a sidecut measuring 128/94/118, and this is about as versatile and well-rounded as it gets. That creates a 19-meter arc and an easily directed turn. With tip and tail rocker, but a pretty flat tail, this is a directional ski to be sure—smooth and crisp when maneuvered at higher speeds, and energetic and poppy in more moderate uses. The flotation is quite good for the width because of the lighter and tapered shovel. This allows the ski to stay mostly above the snow, while the mid section and the tail follow suit with confidence and poise.
For a broad range of skiers, the Rossignol Sender 94 Ti is a very useful and versatile ski. Since the sizing goes down to a 156, there’s a big group of people that will find success on this thing. From intermediates all the way to aggressive experts, the Sender 94 Ti has a ton of applications for versatile skiing no matter the conditions or terrain.
