2025 Salomon QST Lux 92 Women's Skis

2025 SALOMON QST LUX 92 WOMEN'S SKIS

$549.95

Back for the 2024 season, the Salomon QST Lux 92 returns with the same great build and shape, bringing skiers an impressive level of performance and versatility for all mountain terrain. With a graphics refresh featuring flashier, more eye-catching colors, the hope is to attract more users while continuing to please the pre-established Lux 92 fan base. In some cases, the return of a ski with essentially no changes other than looks does not always work, with upgrades to construction and/or shape seemingly essential to keep up with the ever-changing trends and demands. In this case, however, Salomon stayed true to their successful QST recipe, repeating the design to deliver the unrivaled all mountain performance with that touch of freeride flair. Offering intermediate to advanced skiers a friendly, intuitive shape and lightweight construction, this versatile ski ensures stability and maneuverability across a variety of conditions.

For construction, we see the same build as the 2023 version, featuring a full poplar wood core which as we know offers stability and poppy energy for achievable maneuverability and strength. In addition, Salomon uses their C/FX blend in order to boost the flex of the ski from tip to tail. This signature material goes a long way in the QST line, taking the construction up a notch as far as stiffness and strength to weight ratio. Most noticeable when transitioning out of a turn and into the next, the carbon and flax fibers give the ski a boost of energy, making it easy to load up power and pop. Another impressive feature that gives the QST line such distinguishable personality is the double sidewall technology. Given the shape and profile of the Lux 92, this application drastically enhances the effective edge by enforcing the midsection of the ski with stiffer, thicker sidewall material. Maximizing the edge grip and overall carving capabilities, it's impressive for a low 90s waist width ski with ample versatility.

Looking at the shape, in the 160 cm length, we get 18% rocker in the tip with 12% in the tail, which delivers enough flotation for an all-mountain ski without it losing its groomer performance. Considering the freeride rocker shape, we still get a decent amount of camber and a 13-meter turn radius, which is pretty fantastic for a ski with moderate rocker lines. Skiers can easily access a variety of turn shapes and styles, from short and snappy to long and surfy. We love a ski that has a range of capabilities, and this ski is high on the list for most versatile, especially in a low 90s width range. Easy to initiate and incredibly smooth, you won’t run into issues as far hooking or catching on a turn.

The Salomon QST Lux 92 is an impressively versatile ski for skiers looking for easy access to all mountain performance with confidence-inspiring technique. Whether you’re looking to progress your skills on intermediate terrain or finesse performance with ease on more difficult trails, this jack-of-all-trades ski is approachable and easy to maneuver. As the narrowest option in the QST lineup, it can carve up a storm on groomers but also excel off-piste without losing any strength or stability.
