The K2 Reckoner 122 Skis are the widest offering in the Reckoner line up, and is a dedicated, twin tipped powder ski. The Reckoner 122 employs a carbon spectral braid technology. This allowed the designers to adjust the stiffness of the ski in a very specific way. They need to keep it a bit stiffer in front of and behind the mount zone, so they tighten their braid in those zones. It's a pretty cool way to be able to fine-tune both the torsional and longitudinal stiffness and response, and K2 has found a simple and effective way to do so. In order to maximize performance, the Reckoner has a lighter construction that’s also slightly stiffer for a balanced swing weight and more supportive feel on big landings. The tail is designed to carve, land, and take off switch in any scenario, but the tail rise is much lower than K2’s previous skis, providing more ski to snow contact for more turning power in steep terrain.
