2023 Peak 88 Skis
SKU AP8KAG22Born from Bode Miller’s obsession with performance and designed in Bozeman, Montana, the Peak 88 by Bode is a carving-focused tool with an all-mountain backbone. At 88 millimeters underfoot, it’s the most frontside-oriented ski in the Peak lineup, built to rail arcs on groomers with the poise and precision of a race ski, but with far more versatility baked in.
Why we like it:
It doesn’t just hold an edge, it clings to it with race-ski tenacity, then somehow feels easygoing enough for an all-day lap fest.
Who it's for:
Advanced and expert skiers who prioritize carving performance but want something more intuitive, versatile, and less punishing than a full-bore frontside carver.
Highlights:
The Peak 88 uses the same construction DNA as its wider siblings, including a Paulownia and Ash wood core, full sidewalls, and two layers of Titanal. But it’s the KeyHole Technology that gives it its distinct character. By removing metal from a precise zone in the ski, the Peak unlocks earlier edge engagement and a smoother, more balanced flex through the turn. The result is a ski that feels incredibly stable at speed, yet surprisingly agile in the trees or bumps between groomer laps.
Things to consider:
The Peak 88 has a decidedly directional, performance-driven personality; those seeking playful or surfy behavior will want to look elsewhere.
Fit & sizing considerations:
These skis feel true to size and reward good technique. Stick with your standard frontside or all-mountain length for optimal performance.
