The Dynastar M-Free 99 Open Skis is a twin tipped ski that is a great option for a freestyle-oriented skier that wants all-mountain versatility. Construction of the core starts with a Poplar and Polyurethane blend which helps keep the weight down without sacrificing stability and an energetic feel. The Poplar runs centrally through the length of the ski while the lower density polyurethane sits around the edges of the core. As a result, you get a fairly damp and quiet feel, but the ski still provides a lot of energy, liveliness and responsiveness. In addition to that energy, you’re also getting a pretty good amount of rocker in the tips and tails, creating a fantastic amount of float. With the more pronounced splay in the tips and tails, this ski has that twin-tip feeling and shape to it, without being a true park ski. It’s a great all mountain twin tip that skews towards faster, more serious skiers.
