The liner in this boot is pretty cool. Often times, there can be hotspots in a ski boot or in other words, areas of the boot that create issues with fit and comfort. Seams and other pieces of protruding material can cause these hotspots, so Salomon has developed a seamless liner in order to eliminate hot spot issues resulting from materials or protrusions inside the liner. Furthermore, these liners are fully customizable through heat molding and are easy to dial in a nice fit. If the fit is almost there but not quite there right out of the box, the shells are also thermo-moldable and can be blown out to a last of 104 millimeters wide. Being on the softer side of the flex spectrum, the S/Pro Alpha provides a great balance of comfort and control. They're not so soft that they feel like they can't support you or provide enough rebound, but they're not so stiff to the point where you feel like you can't get into a nice forward athletic stance to attack the hill with.
