The all-new Armada ARV 106 is a wider-bodied all-mountain freestyle slayer. This twin-tip brings the park to the entire mountain, especially when there is soft snow to be found. A quite robust construction offers a lot of high-speed stability especially through variable snow. Smeary and playful yet stable and trustworthy characteristics allow for this ski to be a dream for those that want a ski that blurs the lines between a powder ski, all-mountain twin tip, and a park ski.

Why we like it:

The sheer strength of the ARV 106 is something we cannot stop talking about. No matter what the ski conditions are in front of you, these skis can handle it with the slight exception of firm, icy groomers which is to be expected. It is amazing how much maneuverability and energy is stored into this strong of a build so koodoos to Armada.

Who it's for:

The ARV 106 is actually for a broad range of people. It could be for a west coast freestyle skier’s daily driver or an eastern skier’s powder ski. A west coast park skier’s all-mountain ski or an aggressive skier’s easter backcountry ski. There are many out there that would benefit from what the ARV 106 has to offer.

Highlights:

A brand-new wood core consisting of poplar with an ash binding insert provides an even flex pattern with some binding retention for big impacts and intense forces. W3dgewall Sidewalls give the ski some added stiffness for high-speed charging and impact protection if you decide that you want to take them into the park and hit some rail or boxes. Overall, a serious emphasis on strength and durability with the redesign.

Things to consider:

The ARV 106 is not necessarily a light ski, so it does take some input and effort to maneuver them, but what you gain is loads of stability and chargability. This could be considered a west coast daily driver but also an east coast powder ski.
