The Armada ARW 100 with Marker Squire 11 Bindings is back and better than ever. While the shape, camber, and rocker profiles remain unchanged, Armada has updated the construction for a smoother and more intuitive feel. Versatility is the standout feature of the ARW 100, a fun and friendly ski ideal for those looking to advance their skills in any terrain. This ski is a true one-ski quiver. We paired the 100 with the Marker Squire 11 because of the Squire’s high performance and dependability for lighter weight all mountain and freeride skiers. With a light weight construction and a safe, reliable release, the Squire 11 is a go to choice to keep performance high and weight low.
Why we like it:
Performance in the park is often overlooked when companies design skis, but the ARW 100 stands out as a fantastic all-around ski for those who want to explore every part of the mountain, including the park. Thanks, Armada!
Who it's for:
The ARW 100 is designed specifically for intermediate to advanced women who seek a versatile ski that excels in various conditions, including groomed trails, powder, and especially the park.
Highlights:
Versatility is the standout feature of the ARW 100, a fun and friendly ski ideal for those looking to advance their skills in any terrain. The Caruba wood core has been replaced with Poplar, which offers a smoother and more consistent flex. Ash underfoot enhances strength where it’s most needed, and the AR Freestyle Rocker delivers exceptional all-mountain versatility. True to its jibby nature, the 100 provides ample pop for getting off the snow, and Armada’s W3dgewall tech adds grip when needed. Marker’s Triple Pivot Light 2 Toe and Hollow Linkage Heel systems work in tandem to provide powerful energy transmission to the ski, allowing for maximum edge grip and control of the ski. Lighter weight skiers can rest easy knowing the Squire 11 will be easier than ever to step into thanks to a re-designed heel piece. Perhaps the most underappreciated feature of the Squire 11 is the anti-ice rail, which sits on top of the toepiece and can be used to scrape the sole of your boots clean before stepping in.
Things to consider:
Skiers who push their skis to the limit may find the ARW 100's boundaries. Those who don’t frequent the park might not get the most out of this ski, and there are other options with a more directional shape that would be more suitable.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The skis are true to size or slightly short. You could size up for more float in deep snow.
