As the narrowest of the Declivity lineup, the Armada Declivity 82 Ti is a directional frontside carver that’s designed for unparalleled performance on hard snow, with a touch of versatility built in. By utilizing Poplar wood and banded Titanal, Armada increases the ease of turn initiation without compromising the stability and power of the ski through the rest of the turn. A touch of rocker in the tip and tails adds to the versatility of the 82 Ti, making it easier and more fun to venture off the groomed trails from time to time.
Why we like it:
The Declivity 82 Ti has the natural, intuitive feel that we’ve come to expect from Armada, wrapped up in a powerful, directional frontside carver.
Who it's for:
A large swath of skiers will appreciate the power and versatility of the Declivity 82 Ti. Intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a frontside daily driver will love the predictability, grip, and smoothness of the ski, as well as the intuitive feel both into and out of the turn. East coast groomer runs are this ski’s domain, while those out West may prefer the versatility of a slightly wider ski.
Highlights:
Once again, Armada hits the sweet spot between power, performance, and versatility with the Declivity 82 Ti. Skis in this narrower frontside category are often limited to one speed and one turn shape; not so with the 82 Ti, where Armada’s Articulated Titanal Banding results in a slightly softer flex in the tips, allowing the skier to bend the ski effectively to make a variety of turn shapes at a variety of speeds. That said, there’s no loss of power here, and skiers will love the grip and stability the Declivity 82 Ti offers throughout the turn.
Things to consider:
While the 82 Ti is capable enough to venture into bumps and soft snow, those looking to spend just as much time there as on the groomers may want to go with a slightly wider ski, or one with a bit more rocker in the profile. Conversely, skiers who prefer a more traditional high performance carving ski will likely prefer a system carving ski, which tend to be less versatile but give the ultimate in power and performance.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Declivity 82 Ti skis true to size, so stay the course and go with the length you’d normally choose.
