2026 Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA GW Ski Boots
SKU AE5030320Atomic is going in deep on BOA this year, and the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA is another shining star in the collection. A mid volume freeride touring boot, the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA is fully capable of efficient uphill travel and powerful downhill skiing. With field tested Atomic technology and BOA dials, the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA can get you from skinning a backcountry line to skiing the lift line and everything in between.
Why we like it:
The Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA blends high performance skiing and effective uphill travel with a comfortable last that keeps you skiing all day.
Who it's for:
The advanced skier, or lighter weight expert, will find the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA provides a premium experience. As with all Atomics high end boots, the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA is very customizable when it comes to foot shape. An average volume to slightly higher volume foot works best in the boot, but with a little work even wider feet can make the boot work if the skier is looking for a compressive fit.
Highlights:
The Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA is not lacking in the highlights department. Nearly everything in the boot construction is built with the best quality parts and materials Atomic can source. One of the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA best features is the new Mimic Platinum liner, which is so packed full of technologies, it is hard to list them all out. One of the best features of the liner is the new Power Ankle Lock, which is a reinforced liner layer that surrounds the ankle pocket with dense and compact material that doesn’t compress as much over time.
Things to consider:
An excellent fit for the average volume foot, the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA as a little too much room around the foot for truly narrow feet. In addition, a skier looking for a boot for only downhill use would probably want to look at the non-XTD boot.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA fits in well with the rest of the Prime family. A decently snug heel and good room around the midfoot and forefoot gives the boot a good combination of precision skiing and comfort. A little extra room over the instep allows the BOA dial to wrap more evenly, and the boot feels slightly shorter than similar boots from competitors.
