The Redster Q9 Revoshock S is the raciest of the Redster Q line, and skiers can expect a quick, powerful, and high performance feel from these skis. At 75mm underfoot, the Q9’s are incredibly fast edge to edge, and while they’re not true slalom skis, they make very quick, short turns. Atomic’s Power Wood core, titanal laminates, and Revoshock S technology all contribute to a powerful, smooth feel on snow, and with a softer flex pattern relative to the race-ready Redster G9’s, are overall friendlier and easier to ski with almost no loss of performance on the top end.

Things to consider:

Entry-level or recreational racers could probably get away with racing on the Q9, however those with more experience will prefer the top-end power of a true race ski. All mountain skiers would do better to look at something wider and more versatile, as this is a dedicated frontside carver.
