2027 Fischer Aerolite Skate 70 Skiswith Fischer RC3 Skate Boots and Poles

Beginning skate racers are the stated target for the Fischer Aerolite Skate 70, and the ski is built around what that skier actually needs: something light enough to hold form on, durable enough to survive a learning season, and fast enough that the result is the skier's own doing. An air-filled core takes care of the weight, and a factory race structure handles the glide. Nothing here demands a World Cup stroke before it cooperates. [boot PKG overview]

Who it's for:

Beginning skate racers and fitness skaters who are done renting. It fits juniors moving up, first-season masters racers, and anyone working on technique who wants a ski light enough to reward good form without the narrow conditions window that comes with a true race ski.

Things to consider:

This is the accessible end of the Aerolite family, so skiers chasing results will eventually want the Skate 80 or 90 and their higher-tier bases. Skate skis also need a groomed skate lane to work at all; if the trails you ski are tracked for classic only, a classic setup is the one to buy.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Fischer sizes skate skis by body weight rather than height, so go by the chart rather than by how the ski looks standing next to you. Staying on the recommended length keeps the camber working as designed, and a skier caught between two lengths is usually better served by the shorter one while the stroke is still developing.
