The Ski
The Rossignol Nova 2 is a women's entry-level ski built to make learning feel approachable and rewarding from day one. Its forgiving, easygoing personality takes the intimidation out of progressing on groomed terrain, and the shape is engineered to make turns happen naturally, so you can focus on building confidence instead of fighting your equipment. Paired with boots and a set of poles, you're ready to go with everything you need for a great day of skiing, whether you're focused on progression or just want to get out there and have fun.
The Boot
Designed for new skiers and casual cruisers, the 2027 Rossignol Pure Comfort 60 lives up to its name by putting warmth, comfort, and approachability front and center. This is a boot that helps beginners feel confident from the very first run, laying the foundation for a love of skiing and a lifetime of fun on snow.
Ability Level
Skis in this category are designed for skiers ready to move beyond rental equipment into their first pair of skis. They're easy to ski and are built around performance features that support the development of fundamental turning and stopping skills. They perform best at slow to moderate speeds and are ideal for trails rated Green to Easy Blue.
Shop All Green/Blue Skis →Blue skis are made for advancing Beginners and early Intermediate skiers who feel confident turning and stopping on green trails and are ready to explore steeper pitches, higher speeds, and new terrain. Their more robust construction responds to subtle movements, allowing skiers to fine-tune their fundamentals and progress toward true carving turns. They're up for the challenge of moderate speeds, but won't offer enough support for high speed carving or navigating technical terrain.
Shop All Blue Skis →If you're ready for a Blue/Black ski, chances are you already know it. Built for solid and advancing Intermediate skiers, these skis deliver a higher level of performance geared toward faster speeds and moderately technical terrain. They're nicely balanced between performance and forgiveness and won't punish small mistakes, so perfect technique isn't a prerequisite. That said, Blue/Black skis require a solid grasp of the fundamentals to access their full performance range, so if you're not yet carving turns, you'll be better served by something in the Blue category.
Shop All Blue/Black Skis →Choosing the Right Size
Just follow the three steps below.
Choose Your Ski Length
Ski sizing is based on the skier's height, weight, and ability level. For a GREEN/BLUE ski, chin-height is a great starting point. Remember, shorter skis are easier to turn, but prefer to take it slow. Longer skis are the opposite: they like higher speeds, but are harder to turn.
Ski & Pole Length Recommendations
| Height | Recommended Ski Length | Recommended Pole Length |
|---|---|---|
| 4'8" | 121–124 cm | 100 cm / 40 in |
| 4'10" | 124–129 cm | 105 cm / 42 in |
| 5'0" | 134–139 cm | 105 cm / 42 in |
| 5'2" | 139–144 cm | 110 cm / 44 in |
| 5'4" | 144–149 cm | 115 cm / 46 in |
| 5'6" | 149–154 cm | 115 cm / 46 in |
| 5'8" | 154–159 cm | 120 cm / 48 in |
| 5'10" | 159–164 cm | 120 cm / 48 in |
| 6'0" | 164–169 cm | 125 cm / 50 in |
| 6'2" | 169–174 cm | 130 cm / 52 in |
| 6'4" | 174–179 cm | 135 cm / 54 in |
| 6'6" | 179–184 cm | 135 cm / 54 in |
| 6'8" | 184–189 cm | 135 cm / 54 in |
Pick Your Pole Length
Pole size is determined by flipping the pole upside down and grabbing it just under the basket. If the pole is sized correctly, your elbow should make a 90 degree angle. To make things even easier, just check the corresponding size recommendation for your height, found on the Ski and Pole Sizing Chart above.
Choose Your Boot Size
Boot sizes are measured in Mondopoint sizing; find your US street shoe size on the chart below to determine your Mondopoint size. Be aware that ski boots don't come in half sizes; if you're between sizes, go up for comfort, or size down for performance. For example, if your street shoe size is a Men's 8 / Mondopoint 26, please select 26.5.

What to Expect When You Place Your Order
We have decades of experience getting skiers like you into the right equipment, and our team works hard every day to make the buying experience as seamless as possible. Here's what to expect when you purchase a ski package from us:
- Your boots will ship out first, and you will receive an email with tracking information. This gives you the opportunity to try them on to ensure a proper fit. And don't worry — if you didn't get the sizing right on the first try, we'll work with you to exchange for the correct size.
- Meanwhile, we're working on your skis: installing the bindings, then packing them carefully to ensure they get to you safely.
-
Once they're boxed up, your skis and poles will ship out and you'll get a second email with a new tracking number for this package.
Important: You will still need to take your skis, along with your boots, to a local ski shop before your first run. A certified binding technician will need to set the forward pressure, DIN, and toe height, and test the bindings with your boot to ensure your safety.
- Something not right? We have a DIY Exchange Portal. If, like us, you prefer talking to a real human, we have customer service agents standing by to get you squared away — just give us a call at (877) 812-6710.
