Features and Functions:

You’re trying to decide between the hardshell Billie and the softshell Lucy… The difference isn’t in the weatherproof performance, both jackets have a 20k/20k waterproof breathable membrane and waterproof zippers, both have full seam taping, a helmet compatible hood, removable powder skirt and 12” pit zips. The difference is going to be in the feel and durability of the shell fabric. The Billie is rated higher for backcountry and rough use. The Lucy is 50/50, the fabric is softer making this a very comfortable jacket for everything from lift laps to an afternoon of skinning, but not the best choice if you’re in regular contact with brush, branches, rocks or rime ice.
