The 2025 K2 Instrument with Rossignol Viper Bindings is a versatile all-mountain board designed to excel in any condition. Equipped with advanced technology, this board can tackle everything from hard-packed ice to deep powder. It’s a true all-around performer, making it an ideal choice for a one-board quiver that guarantees a smile on any rider’s face. We paired the Instrument with the Rossignol Vipers because they are a versatile all mountain binding that provide plenty of response for riders who are looking for a stable smooth ride without sacrificing comfort. A composite base keeps these lightweight so you can ride from first chair to last without fatigue, making this the perfect choice for the Instrument.
Why we like it:
The Instrument stands out for its versatility across various snow conditions. Whether you’re carving on hard-packed groomers, plowing through deep powder, or hitting natural backcountry features, this board’s high-end technology ensures it performs exceptionally well on any terrain.
Who it's for:
The Instrument is perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who seek a board that can handle diverse conditions without restriction. It excels on icy east coast groomers as well as deep powder out west, making it a great option for sending it off backcountry booters with the stability and control needed to land cleanly.
Highlights:
The ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Fiberglass features a fiberglass laminate combined with 10 carbon stringers running from tip to tail, offering enhanced stability and edge hold for aggressive riding. The Carbon Torque Forks™ at the contact points provide excellent control and prevent washouts during turns. Additionally, the S1 technology ensures the board’s durability, making it a reliable choice for years of intense use. The moderate flex on the Vipers makes these forgiving enough to take in the park while still giving you plenty of response to rail turns at high speeds on groomers and weave through tight trees and moguls. Toolless adjustments make these easy to adjust on the fly without having to trek back to the lodge. EVA foot beds provide exceptional impact absorption and dampen vibrations for a smooth ride.
Things to consider:
The directional shape and 10 mm taper in the tail offer excellent flotation in deep snow but may make it more challenging to ride or land switch. The camber profile enhances stability but could increase the risk of catching an edge, which might be difficult for entry-level riders.

As a Volume Shift™ board, the Instrument should be downsized by 3-5 cm from your usual length.
