DESCRIPTION

Brand-new for 2025, the K2 Reckoner 102 is a playful tool for summit-to-park creative skiing. With influences from both the park and all-mountain capabilities, the Reckoner is likely the most versatile of the series with performance being found no matter where you find yourself in the resort. A twin tip shape, playful flex pattern and torsional stiffness for stability there are loads of maneuvers that the 102 is begging to do.

Why we like it:

The Reckoner 102’s playful character supported by its all-mountain versatility and overall fun factor is what really swept us off our feet.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert freestyle skiers who spend most of their time in the park but seek a ski that can turn the resort into their own personal park.

Highlights:

An Aspen Micro Block wood core provides a supple flex pattern for an incredible surfy and playful feel in deep snow. K2’s Spectral Braid fine-tunes the flex of the skis in specific areas to provide stiffness or suppleness in areas where it is most needed. The forebody and aft sections of the skis have a bit more stiffness for vibration damping and stability on landings while the underfoot zone has more torsional stiffness for edge grip on wind-blown firm snow. Triaxial Braided Core wraps around the core to boost energy and pop while also adding overall stiffness to the ski. Carbon Boost uses longitudinal carbon stringers woven into K2’s patented Triaxial Braid for pop and rebound. TwinTech Sidewalls are durable, full sidewalls that provide edge grip as well as protection against ski-to-ski impact damage. Bio-Resin adhesives used to hold the ski together is a green approach to construction to lessen the footprint of production.

Things to consider:

This is a soft flexing ski that is not the best carver of firm snow performer. However, they do carve thanks to its torsional stiffness, you just need some slightly softer or lighter snow to get the job done. The soft flex can be forgiving and intuitive for trying new tricks or maneuvers but may not be supportive enough for massive impacts or incredibly fast jump in-runs.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size.
