The 2025 Line Optic 96 is a versatile daily driver for skiers who like to explore the entirety of the mountain. Seamlessly transitioning from on to off-trail, the Optic 96 is an all-mountain weapon that excels in every terrain and snow condition. A supportive flex pattern and titanal supply excellent edge grip on firm snow while a playful shape allows for playful maneuvering off trail and in soft or variable snow.
Why we like it:
The balance between power and maneuverability is what makes this ski standout in the mid 90 mm all-mountain category.
Who it's for:
Advanced to expert freeride skiers who seek a ski that is equally capable on trail as well as off trail.
Highlights:
Line utilizes an Aspen Veneer wood core for the Optic 96 which is composed of narrow stringers of aspen to provide a balanced flex pattern that is both stable and smooth but also forgiving and playful. Supporting the core, the Optic 96 also gets Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive titanal laminates which supplies torsional and longitudinal stiffness to the ski for added carving performance, vibration damping, as well as overall stability at speed.
Things to consider:
The Optic 96 has somewhat of a twin tip shape for freeride maneuvers. So, if you are a directional skier that prefers to have a flatter tail and longer effective edge, there are better options out there.
